KGM
KGM stands as South Korea’s oldest car manufacturer, with its roots tracing back to January 1954 when Ha Dong-hwan Motor Workshop commenced maintenance and repair operations for US military equipment in the country. In 1964, the company transitioned to manufacturing Jeep SUVs under license for the United States Army. In 2022, the South Korean conglomerate KG Group acquired SsangYong’s business, leading to a rebranding of the car brand to KGM. Since 2023, KGM has placed a strong emphasis on battery electric vehicles.
Emphasizing High-Quality SUVs KGM’s exclusive focus on producing SUVs and four-wheel drive models eliminates the need for design compromises, ensuring that their cars meet the highest standards. From its inception, KGM has specialized in the production of robust, reliable, and practical four-wheel drive off-road vehicles. These products are renowned for their strength and features tailored for demanding use.
