Bassadone Becomes the Importer of Nissan in Finland

  • Bassadone’s subsidiary, Nordic Automotive Services Oy, will now also serve as Nissan’s importer in Finland.
  • Representation includes both vehicles and spare parts.
  • The transfer of operations is planned for April 2025.

Nissan and Bassadone Automotive Nordic have confirmed an agreement today to transfer Nissan’s import operations in Finland to Nordic Automotive Services Oy, a Bassadone Automotive Nordic group subsidiary. Nordic Automotive Services already imports Nissan in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Preparations for the transfer will begin immediately, with the transition set to take place in April 2025. The agreement includes transferring Nissan Finland’s personnel to the Bassadone Group as part of the transaction. The transfer is subject to regulatory approval.

“Following the very smooth and successful integration of Nissan’s Baltic operations, we are more than delighted to expand our cooperation with Nissan into the Finnish market. Nissan is a respected and well-established brand in Finland, and we are committed to further developing both the brand and its market position. It is an honour to have this opportunity to deepen our partnership with Nissan, especially knowing that we have the full support of Charbel Abi Ghanem and his entire Nissan team,” says Antti Ruhanen, CEO of Bassadone Automotive Nordic.

Charbel Abi Ghanem, Vice President of Nissan Independent Markets Europe, commented: “We are fully committed to the Finnish market. Bassadone Automotive Nordic Oy, which has successfully managed Nissan operations in the Baltic countries, brings over two decades of experience in the Nordic market. I look forward to working with them to continue building our brand and delivering even greater value to our customers.”

“It’s fantastic to have Nissan’s experienced team join Bassadone to continue their excellent sales and customer experience development work. The same applies to Nissan’s dealer network; it’s great to deepen cooperation with such skilled partners. I am confident that the transition to the new importer will go seamlessly,” commented Heikki Vuorinen, CEO of Nordic Automotive Services.
